OT : 2 Hybrid web sites ???

Seriously, what is going on between Adrian and Joe ?. I would ask elsewhere, but I dont want to get my head ripped off...

As a long time obsessed Hybrid member Im hoping the situation will be resolved soon....to make a long story short they... Adrian & Joe...the founders of the Hybrid site are fighting....so the board/site has split in two...hopefully they will kiss and make up and the Hybrid world will be back to normal

Wow. I hadn't heard about this because I stopped reading that page about a year ago when they changed forum formats. Here is some info I found on the CRX page:

Hey guys,

I don't know how many of you also use the hybrid board, but there is a
deception going on you need to know about. Some parties have appropriated
the hybrid site, urls, old content, advertisements and done with them as
they please. The site and discussion boards you see at http://hybrid.honda-

perf.org/ and http://www.hybridforum.com/

are not under joe_r's control.
The parties responsible for this theft and deception are changing people's
account status, banning any opposition, and deleting any threads that
refer to the deception.

I don't appreciate my user information being stolen, along with the rest
of the hybrid site. This is wrong, don't be part of the deception.

Hybrid is some sort of joint venture between Adrian Teo and Joe
Rodgers. Joe started hybrid and has been the driving force behind
it, and Adrian owns the server the site has been run from. Adrian
and Joe have some sort of dispute that has spilled over into the
operation of the board.

Some time ago Joe moved the discussion forums to another server, one
not owned by Adrian. Since then numerous changes have been made,
including the formation of a FAQ forum. The links to the dicsussion
forums on the hybrid site sent you to the new server and forums as we
knew them.

Tuesday evening the forum stopped functioning. On Wednesday morning
the links to the discussion forum no longer referred users to the
forum on the new server, but to a forum built on an old backup of the
forum running on Adrian's server. Adrian changed the DNS and
passwords such that Joe no longer had any ability to administer the
site. Joe posted the ip to the real forum, but it was quickly
deleted.

Wednesday morning, not realizing the power struggle going on, I
posted a question asking if the several months of content present on
Joe's server would be added to the new forum. This, and all,
questions regarding the changes were deleted. No statement was made
regarding the future of the board. Many respected and vital
moderaters and admins were stripped of their status, and some users
were banned for voicing their discontent with the situation.

Joe is operating the forum on his server, and Adrian is operating the
new forum built on the backup on his. Currently there are two forums
operating, and the community is largely split. Hybrid is still
operating, but Joe has been locked out of the administration of it.
Whatever the cause of the dispute, the exclusion of Joe from the
administration of what is largely his creation, along with the
deception and secrecy surrounding the changes have put many of the
regulars ill at ease with the new forum. It remains to be if the two
forums will be re-combined, and Joe returned to his rightful place in
the administration of the site. We are all hopeful that this rift
can be repaired.

It appeared that the whole site had been stolen, but now the
situation is not clear. Adrian may have the legal right to operate
the hybrid site as his own, I'm not sure. What is clear is the
exclusion of Joe and the manner with which all these changes were
pursued exceeded the bounds of good taste.

That sucks... it is a pretty good site. I hope they work out thier differences.
